SVE Unveils 2023 SXR Series Cadillac Escalade With 800 Horsepower

Posted on

While the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V promises to be more than enough of a get-up-and-go for a luxury SUV, there are aftermarket options available for Escalade fans looking for something a little more aggressive. Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) recently unveiled the high-performance 2023 Cadillac Escalade package, with 800 horsepower.

Known as the 2023 Cadillac Escalade SXR Series, this purpose-built high-performance luxury SUV utilizes a 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87) with the outstanding SVE supercharger. The engine also features a 1538MV forged steel crankshaft with induction hardened journals and intermediate pin bore, plus forged steel rods, forged aluminum pistons, upgraded heads, and an upgraded fuel system with new injectors. Sound and exhaust are channeled through a stainless steel cat-back exhaust arrangement with dual-ended outputs.

A special SVE engine upgrade gives the Escalade 800 horsepower and 720 pound-feet of torque. By comparison, the high-performance Cadillac Escalade-V produces 683 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque, meaning the SXR Series Escalade is more powerful than the almighty Escalade-V.

The package rolls on a set of six-spoke 22-inch wheels, while six-piston brakes and ventilated rotors help keep the speed under control. Suspension features a heavy-duty 12.5-inch rear sway bar, along with full sport suspension upgrades and an adjustable lowering kit. Custom floor mats, door sills, headrests and custom badges provide unique styling cues in the cabin. The SXR Escalade also gains a set of exterior accents to differentiate it from its stock counterpart.

The 2023 Cadillac Escalade SXR Series Package is available on all 2023 Escalade or Escalade ESV, including the Luxury, Premium Luxury, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport, and Sport Platinum trim levels. However, a 6.2L V8 engine is a requirement, as this package does not apply to models featuring the 3.0L I6 turbodiesel engine (production code LM2). Both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models can be equipped with upgrades.

Package prices start at $69,995 over the original 2023 Cadillac Escalade price. SVE states that a build time of six to eight weeks is standard, and the setup kit is not legal for California emissions.
