The Municipal Police increases the controls of motorists, with a new device called scout, which not everyone knows about but which from now on we must be particularly careful.
This device allows you to detect infringements of the highway codein particular those concerning parking bans with services performed up to the 19th.
The checks will take place in the busiest sections of the road.

The controls with the scout device, will involve the state road 114 Giampilieri, San Saba, Casabianca, Acqualadroni, then the state road 113 to Rodia and Sparta. Via Garibaldi, Via Consolare, Via Pompea and finally Via Padre Ruggeri will also be affected.
Then we will continue on the avenues, with checkpoints in via Marco Polo, in Piazza Cairoli and Viale San Martino, in the Alfio Ragazzi roundabout, in via La Farina, Cannizzaro and via San Cosimo, Viale della Libertà, Giostra and prefecture, Piazza Duomo or where it is present the pedestrian area.
To conclude the Police will carry out its checks from Corso Garibaldi to Viale Principe Umbertofrom Corso Garibaldi to Cairoli, from Via Cavour to Viale Italia and Piazza della Repubblica.
Scout device, all the information about the new road control system
The new scout speed device is to be considered as a moving speed camera. Unlike the real speed camera problems, these devices are not located at the edge of the road, but mounted directly on the cars of the traffic or municipal police. I’m able to detect the speed of vehiclesin both directions of travel. They detect the speed and number plate of the cars committing the offence, even at night, because they are equipped with infrared rays.
Not many people know it and are informed about its functioning or effectiveness. But there are those who question both the “legality” and the functioning. For example, some users argue about the legality of the device because it is not reported. Speed cameras, by law, must be reported to be legal, scouts don’t.
To give the right explanations is the Ministry of Infrastructure, which declares that the local police patrols are moving stations, therefore the device cannot and must not be reported and is always in order. The scout issues fines ranging from a minimum of 40 euros to a maximum of 3,000 euros, noting driving with an expired MOT, with expired insurance, parking in the presence of a ban and excess speed.
