Police continue to search for several suspects who stole 13 vehicles from a Flint, Michigan, area dealership earlier this week. The grounds targeted by the thieves are fenced off, protected by a 7,000-volt electrified fence, and patrolled by armed security guards. A mob of about 30 is suspected of stealing the vehicle.
The security guard caught the thieves red-handed while exchanging fire with the masses. The guard escaped the incident unharmed, but he failed to see the suspects during the ordeal. The thieves drive a stolen car through a fence, damaging other vehicles in the process.

Said Chief Constable Flint Terrance Green Fox 2 Detroit that this is not the first time thieves have targeted dealers in the vicinity. He noted that the area had “groups that traveled from other parts of the state just to fall victim to these groups.” However, he added that this was the first time there had been any exchange of gunfire.
The group had at least two Dodge Durango SUVs and one 2022 Ford Mustang. The Mustang driver crashed during a police chase. The car caught fire, and the driver died. Police believe the group is operating outside the Detroit area. They have found seven stolen vehicles so far. However, police have no suspects at this time and are asking those involved to turn themselves in.
The targeted theft is just the latest in a string of high-profile crimes targeting dealerships and vehicle storage throughout the area. In September, thieves took more than a dozen Ford Mustangs from the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Jeep had two cars stolen the same night in different parts of Metro Detroit.
Before that happened, police found 13 Ford F-150 Raptors in June. However, the thieves will get away with a few examples of high-powered off-road pickups in late July. Police chased one suspect, arrested three, and found a stolen Mustang. Police have even arrested 11-year-olds for stealing vehicles this year.
