Tesla chargers are now also available to non-Tesla owners, but not everyone is happy with them.
Following up on a project already launched on a global scale, Tesla has announced that its chargers scattered throughout Italy are now available to all electric car owners.
This means that even if you don’t own a Tesla, you can recharge your zero-emission car at one of the futuristic “Superchargers” of the US giant founded by Elon Musk. The company explained that the measure was taken in order to speed up the global transition to sustainable energyTesla’s primary mission.
Naturally, on the part of Tesla customers there is some discontent: the possibility of using the company’s super-technological chargers will attract all electric car owners, with the risk of creating stalls and congestion.
The company has assured that it will closely monitor each site to avoid this risk so that Tesla car owners find themselves unable to recharge due to high “traffic”.
How to recharge your electric car at Tesla chargers
Tesla has specified that not all the Superchargers present in our country are open to the novelty: in reality, only twenty out of hundreds of stations already installed in Italyas you can see from the list below.

- San Severino market – 6 stalls – up to 150 kW

As you can see, Tesla charging stations are present throughout Italy, from north to south. Customers who do not own a car from the company have the option of pay a monthly subscription of 12.99 euros per month. If you don’t subscribe, on the other hand, you can still top up your car, even if you pay a higher amount.
To find out the prices, just download the Tesla app. In any case, the Subscribers pay €0.60 per kWh from 8pm to 4pm the following day or 0.67 euros per kWh from 4pm to 8pm. For the not subscribed prices go up, respectively, a 0.74 and 0.83 euros. For everyone, the price for occupying the stall beyond the stall period is 1 euro per minute.
However, Tesla explained that with the evolution of energy market prices, tariffs will be adjusted regularly to give owners of Tesla cars or other brands of electric cars the opportunity to save as much as possible when costs decrease.
