2022 will be remembered as a record year for accidents: Dorna counted no less than 335 in the premier class alone. The circuit that has recorded the highest number of accidents is that of Portimao, also considering the prohibitive weather conditions, with a total of 105 in all three classes, while the minimum was reached in Termas del Rio Hondo, in Argentina , with only 34 slips.
The most dangerous stretch of this 2022 World Championship turned out to be turn 1 of the Sachsenring, where 21 crashes were counted at the end of the straight. As for the riders, the black jersey goes to Darryn Binder with a total of 27 times, followed by another rookie, Marco Bezzecchi, at 23 with the Ducati GP21, and by Pol Espargarò, riding the Honda RC-V with 21 accidents. On the other hand, Maverick Vinales did well with just two incidents in the course of the entire championship.
In Moto2 the rider who had the most accidents was the Thai Keminth Kubo and in Moto3 the Italian Elia Bartolini. Below is the decreasing ranking with the crashes remedied by the individual Top Class riders.
