Cadillac XT5 Recalled Over Rearview Camera Issues

Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, has issued a recall for select units of the 2020 and 2021 Cadillac XT5 luxury crossovers over rear-view camera-related issues.

Problem: Affected Cadillac XT5 units may have a rear view camera coaxial cable whose connectors are not crimped properly, causing the rear view camera to fail or work intermittently.

The danger: if the rear-view camera is not working properly, the risk of having a rear-end collision increases.

Repair: dealer technician will replace the rear view camera coaxial cable. This service will be carried out at no cost to the vehicle owner.

Affected vehicles:

  • 2020 Cadillac XT5
  • 2021 Cadillac XT5

Number of affected vehicles: Cadillac has not indicated exactly how many 2020 and 2021 Cadillac XT5 units may be affected by this condition. It is important to note that this issue may also affect certain 2020 and 2021 Cadillac XT6 units.
