Vansports will arrive at this year’s Essen Motor Show in two modified Mercedes-Benz Citan vans. They’re called the UrbanSportster and the Georide, and they’re two different creations even though they share some of the same accessories and upgrades.
Aftermarket specialists designed the UrbanSportster for the city, installing lowering springs which reduced the van’s ground clearance by approximately 1.18 inches (30 millimeters). 19-inch spoked black rims sit on all four corners, with body enhancements such as a new front spoiler and rocker panels.

Inside the UrbanSportster, Vansports installed a flat-bottom steering wheel covered in Napa leather and Alcantara. It even has a yellow stripe at the 12 o’clock position. Both rows of seats received an upgrade with yellow and black Alcantara that matches the exterior’s Limonite metallic yellow paint. The Citan also gets loading sill trim made from matte silver aluminum, while a set of four-piece door sill panels protect each door.
The Georide is the off-road-oriented van of the two, getting an increased 1.18 inches of ground clearance thanks to new springs. Vansports designed it for “simple off-road outings”. Helping its off-road capabilities are General Grabber AT3 off-road tires wrapped around the 18-inch Krona 1 rims. The tuner finished it off with matte black paint and bright silver screws.
The rugged Mercedes van also gets an exterior visual upgrade with a new front lip spoiler, side rocker panels and fender flares. Georide further differentiates itself from the UrbanSportster with a black powder-coated roof rack that features an LED strip. Vansports protects the solid build with new loading sill trim and black powder-coated door sill panels. Inside, the van gets a sporty steering wheel covered in Napa leather and Alcantara.
Vansports is making all of the upgrades available for the Citan Tourer and Citan panel vans. If you’re in Germany, you can see the van at the Essen Motor Show until December 11. Vansports revealed a tuned and upgraded Vito earlier this year, showing off the rugged, off-road-ready van based on an all-wheel-drive diesel version.
