The Subaru Family Peddler is finally ready for his stellar turn Gymkhana 2022. Travis Pastrana glides and jumps his 862 horsepower (643 kilowatts) around Florida. He sustains serious injuries along the way, but the car has nothing to do with the trauma he endured.
The action begins with Pastrana relaxing on the beach. He walks into the nearby Family Huckster and pulls off the video’s first big stunt. Pastrana jumped Subaru off the bridge and onto the guardrails of the highway. The car grinds them down like a giant skateboard.

Then, Pastrana pushed Family Huckster at top speed down the long bridge. The speedometer showed 165 mph (266 kph), and a jet took off to match the car’s speed.
All that speed Pastrana needed to complete the big jump. He covered the entire span of the bridge in the air. The Hucksters descended to land hard. In taking the credits, it appears that one attempt resulted in damage to Subaru’s nose.
This isn’t the only bridge jump Gymkhana 2022. To raise the stakes, Pastrana also jumps across time spans with no solid foundation beneath. To add to the challenge, there is a hovering helicopter that must be passed.
Pastrana’s injury occurs at the very end after the credits. He BASE jumps off the building but hits the ground hard. He thinks his pelvis is fractured, and medics believe there may be internal damage.
The Family Huckster should have looked like an early 1980s Subaru GL. However, it has a 3d model tube frame and carbon fiber tub. Pastrana can deploy active aero elements from the fenders and rear wing when he needs additional downforce for a stunt. Power comes from a turbocharged 2.3 liter boxer engine.
The retro looking wagon has a lot of performance capabilities. At the 2022 Goodwood Hillclimb, he was the fourth fastest competitor at 46.2 seconds.
