After seeing the refreshed Porsche 911 GT3 Touring a few days ago, we now get a chance to see the standard version with wings on the rear. Look closely to see the changes.
The rear received the most major revision, but it’s hard to see because of the flap above the bumper. In the middle, the number plate area is more protruding into the body. Strakes for the diffuser seem thicker than the current model. A pair of circular exhaust pipes still sticking out from the middle.

The nose didn’t change or at least the engineering team didn’t change the front of any of the development vehicles in the spy shots so far. The GT3 retains its wide opening on the lower fascia and double slits on the hood.
The force along the sides also remains the same. The car rides on black wheels with wide apart, Y-shaped spokes and an open section near the hub. The drilled brake rotor is easy to see behind it.
The spy shots don’t give us a great look inside the updated GT3. However, we do know the refreshed 911 Carrera is receiving a fully digital instrument cluster.
No info available on powertrain changes. The current GT3 has a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 502 horsepower (374 kilowatts) and 346 pound-feet (469 Newton-meters) of torque. Customers can choose from a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
The 4.0-liter version of the new 911 GT3 RS is slightly more powerful with 518 hp (386 kW). Tweaks include different camshafts and a single-throttle intake system.
Porsche is preparing a new look for its entire 911 range. We don’t expect them to debut simultaneously as the brand usually staggers when launching new products. Expect to see the upgraded Carrera variant first and the GT3 later. Hybrids also join the ranks.
