Renowned Italian coachbuilder Bertone is planning to get back on the road with the GB110 hypercar. Production is limited to only 33 units. This is the first project from the marque’s new owners Mauro and Jean-Franck Ricci.
Bertone didn’t reveal the layout of the GB110’s machine. However, the company claims it produces 1,100 horsepower (820 kilowatts) and 811 pound-feet (1,100 Newton-meters). The mysterious powerplant allegedly spins up to 8,400 rpm. Motor1.com contact Bertone for additional details on the power plant.

Bertone will supply the GB110 with fuel made from plastic waste. The company Select Fuel turned the polycarbonate material into something that could run the engine. Automakers don’t specify how much flammable substance to provide for each car.
The automaker claims the GB110 reaches 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 2.79 seconds, 124 mph (200 kph) in 6.79 seconds, and 186 mph (300 kph) in 14 seconds. Top speed is thought to be 236 mph (380 kph).
The drivetrain consists of a seven-speed gearbox, but Bertone did not specify whether this transmission is automatic or manual. This sends the output to the all-wheel-drive system.
Bertone was also unclear about the GB110’s chassis. The company’s announcement says that it is “based on components from German manufacturers.” The car uses independent double wishbones at both ends, and there are four-way adjustable dampers.
Bertone says that the GB110’s exterior styling takes inspiration from the brand’s wedge-shaped vehicles of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, such as the Lancia Stratos HF Zero concept. It has a pair of scissor hinged doors. Behind, there is a pair of stacked exhaust in a trapezoid-shaped outlet.
No photos or even general details about the GB110’s interior. The render with the doors open shows a glimpse of the modest cabin with a raised fin separating the driver and passengers.
The automaker’s announcement also didn’t elaborate on details about production of the GB110. It’s unclear where Bertone plans to build this model and when assembly will start. Hypercar prices are also a mystery. Motor1.com reach out to the brand for this info.
