Recall Issued To Address Rearview Camera Issue In Cadillac XT6

Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, has issued a recall for some of its 2020 and 2021 Cadillac XT6 crossover utility vehicles in response to issues related to the rear view camera.

Problem: the rear view camera coaxial cable connector may not be installed properly in the affected XT6 unit, which could cause the rear view camera to fail or work intermittently.

The danger: if the rear-view camera is not working properly, the risk of having a rear-end collision increases.

Repair: dealer technician will replace the rear view camera coaxial cable. This service will be carried out at no cost to the vehicle owner.

Affected vehicles:

  • 2020 Cadillac XT6
  • 2021 Cadillac XT6

Number of affected vehicles: Neither Cadillac nor GM have indicated how many 2020 and 2021 Cadillac XT6 units may be affected by this condition. It is important to note that this issue may also affect certain 2020 and 2021 Cadillac XT5 units.
