AEHRA presented the new electric SUV with incredibly futuristic lines and a range capable of reaching 800km.
It’s simply called AEHRA the new electric SUV presented by the homonymous Milan startup founded by Sandro Andreotti and Hazim Nada. This is the first model presented by the company, which immediately aims strongly: to create a segment of premium electric cars. A not inconsiderable bet.
After all, it’s the same Philip Periniwho holds the role of Chief Design Officer at AEHRA, to explain the philosophy behind the project: “We should invent a new acronym because I don’t think our car can be simply defined as an SUV.”
“The internal dimensions are larger, the external appearance is much more aerodynamic, the vehicle’s footprint is reduced. By shortening the front and rear overhangs and lengthening the car’s wheelbase, we’ve created something truly unique. I am convinced that our solutions will be trends that many others will follow. What distinguishes us is the courage to have adopted them now.”
And the promises from the Italian company are very encouraging indeed.
AEHRA: here is the first premium electric SUV, what does it mean?
Details on this futuristic electric SUV have already been revealed by the company which talks about a car of one length about 5.1 meters, wide about 2 meters and 1 meter and 64 high. The overall step is measured in 3 meters, with a total weight of less than 2000 kilograms.
Great attention has been paid to every detail, as evidenced by the presence of a monocoque made only in carbon fiberwhile the entire body of the car was created thanks to composite materials, which were certainly chosen for their mechanical capabilities, but also for their being very light and having a low impact on the environment.
These components are in fact made with the use of recyclable materials up to a maximum of five cycles, to which is added the considerable possibility of using recycled composites in turn.
Speaking of power, the matter becomes equally interesting, even if for now there are no very precise data: we only know that this SUV will guarantee its lucky owners a power between 550 and 600 kWfor a guaranteed maximum speed a 265 km/h with electronic limiter. The range is surprising: a single full charge should ensure a range of over 800 kilometres.
Regarding this last point, however, we do not have specific information on the batteries fitted: AEHRA speaks only of latest generation systems, but specifies that autonomy of this kind is also supported by aerodynamic choices made during the design stageto which is added the management of accumulator overheating which in turn ensures a longer life.
Speaking of aerodynamics, in this regard, the goal is to ensure sporty driving that is equally safe at the same time: the car will have four-wheel steering and digital rear-view mirrors. The price? It will be between 160 and 180 thousand euros.
However, we will have to wait a bit before seeing it really in action, because the startup expects to start the first deliveries in 2025. Meanwhile, next year, the goal is to unveil a new car, also electric, which will belong to the sedan segment.
