How to clean headlights with homemade abrasive paste
To get the headlights clean again, you must first wash them as you prefer, then you must take the bicarbonate, it must be poured into a bowl, at this point add the tepid water until you get a thick, creamy paste which you apply directly on the already wet headlights.
Then rub it using the sponge, once clean, rinse and pass a soft cloth making circular movements and that’s it. This maintenance should be performed at least once a month to prevent them from being damaged, sometimes irreparably.
If you want, you can also wash the headlights thoroughly with Marseille soap, this will ensure that they become shiny properly.
If you want to smooth the surface, you can use sandpaper, making sure it is fine-grained, avoiding rubbing too much, because the plastic is not very thick, so it can also be damaged being forced to replace it which has a significant cost.
There is an alternative to baking soda so if you don’t have the product at home, just use toothpaste which works the same way. However, it is recommended to use the traditional toothpaste which is not aggressivewith this it is impossible to damage or spoil the plastic in any way.
