The successor to the Lamborghini Aventador is expected to debut soon. However, we’ll get to see the next V12 Italia via leaked submissions of design patents, albeit in plain black-and-white sketches. Nonetheless, the patent makes clear that the Aventador’s successor will come with wild styling.

Unofficial renderings show the Aventador’s replacement in full color ahead of its supposed debut in a few months, giving us an idea of what it might look like. They also follow what we’ve previously seen in spy prototypes being tested out in the open.
The much-anticipated successor to the Lamborghini Aventador will finally be unveiled in March 2023, according to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann. The design patent appeared early on the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) website, which was curiously filed with the North Macedonia bureau. The patent owner is registered as the registered owner as “Automobili Lamborghini SPA”
The design patent and renderings above show the aggressive front fascia of the Aventador successor, reminiscent of the Sian FKP 37 while the hexagonal theme is evident in the top-mounted exhaust tip. There’s also a large diffuser at the rear, which is one of the largest we’ve seen so far in terms of body proportions.
The “Y” motif on the headlights and taillights, as well as the large air inlets for the engine, are also visible in both the patents and renderings. What’s not visible here is the interior our spy photographer shot in November. The spy shots look at the City driving mode, the 8,500 rpm redline, and the dual display on the center console.
In terms of powertrain, the Aventador’s successor will come with a new 12-cylinder engine, coupled with a plug-in hybrid powertrain to comply with emission regulations. Lamborghini aims to electrify several other models, including the successors to the Huracan and Urus. The pure electric model is slated to arrive later this decade.
