Getting a fine isn’t that difficult, unfortunately it has happened to anyone at least once in their life, even to the most attentive motorists, who don’t miss any detail.
There are mistakes that are made without even realizing it, simply because a matter of inattention or because maybe you are a little distracted.
Yet the highway code is full of rules and regulations that must always be respected, in any case and by anyone, in order not to find yourself in a position to have to pay top dollar, without a valid reason.
Some behaviors in the car are prohibited by law, here are the ones
Our cars are never lacking in comfort, which is why many motorists stopped at traffic lights don’t realize that the green went off and so on. We all know, you can’t drive with your smartphone in your hand because it’s distracting, the rule is also valid when you’re stopped at the traffic lights.
In the same way, you cannot drive after drinking because it is prohibited by law, obviously the same rule applies as regards drugs. In all these cases the fines are very heavy and the reduction of points or even points is foreseen the withdrawal of the license in the event of a fatal accident.
What the highway code says and when you risk heavy fines
The highway code, for example, does not tolerate those who smoke while driving because this means implementing absolutely irresponsible and inattentive behaviors. Not only is the cigarette distracting, but damages those traveling inside the vehicle.
Therefore, even if it is a proprietary vehicle, it is not true that inside it one has the right to do what one wants without risk. Quite the opposite indeed. The cigarette in particular hinders some necessary maneuvers for which you risk a fine of 135 euros if you are caught by the police while smoking.
Few people know it but the highway code forbids smoking inside the vehicle especially in the presence of minors under 18 years of age. He gets a fine even if it’s not the driver who smokes, but also the passengers, because you are responsible for the behavior of the people staying inside the vehicle.
The same thing happens if you are not wearing a seat belt. Those who do not wear it risk fines ranging from €135 to €750 with the deduction of three points from the license. But the heaviest fine of all is the 1500 euro one with the deduction of three points from the driving licence.
This fine comes due to a device that limits the driver’s field of vision, it can be for example a smartphone or a tablet installed where it shouldn’t be. Those who have children know something about it and that they would do anything to make them travel in peace.
