Gigi Dall’Igna he doesn’t agree and responds in kind to the requests of his opponents: “Since I’ve been in MotoGP, I’ve never asked to change the regulation. Other builders always want to make changes. I study the rules and act accordingly“, he said in an interview with Speedweek.com.

Nothing prevents that Ducati he has eight bikes on the grid and wants to continue on this path next season as well, although he is aware that sooner or later he will inevitably have to give up a satellite team. Thanks to the free market, he was able to sign both the Gresini Racing team and the Mooney VR46 Racing Team in 2022, offering a winning prototype at more advantageous economic conditions than his rivals. Even the team of Valentino Rossi preferred to opt for Ducati rather than Yamaha, everyone was free to make their own offer and agree to follow one brand rather than another.

TO Massimo Rivola, Aprilia Racing managing director, does not like to see two Yamahas and eight Ducatis and calls for the number of prototypes for each manufacturer to be limited to six. The general manager of House of Borgo Panigale relaunches the challenge, remembers that leasing costs in Ducati are quite high and replies: “The regulation does not provide for a limit on the number of teams or drivers, there is free competition. I don’t know what’s unfair about that. If Aprilia wants more bikes on the grid, it can try to convince more teams. Each MotoGP team can freely decide on the choice of material“.
