Bugatti Bolide is the latest hypercar designed by the Alsatian House. It will be a milestone in the history of the brand, produced in only 40 specimens.
The track tests of the Bugatti Bolide are starting, the latest hypercar of the French brand which will debut in a limited edition in 2024. The price exceeds 4 million euros.
The limited series production of the Bugatti Bolide
Bugatti continues to outdo itself in the production of hypercars more and more powerful and on the agenda is the creation of a limited edition of the futuristic Bolide, a car designed only for use on the track and with a futuristic design. It debuted in 2021 as a one off, but now the Molsheim company is working on the production of a limited series of 40 specimens that will have a price of over 4 million euros each.
Bugatti Bolide is a concentrate of power and aerodynamics, with a flattened design, air intake on the cockpit and a rear wing, X-shaped taillights that clearly recall the Bell X-1, the first aircraft to exceed the speed of sound. The standard version will be slightly different from the model presented a few years ago, especially at the rear, with the large spoiler appearing even more integrated into the wheel arches, while the side air intakes have been redesigned.
The Bolide is based on the Chironwith reinterpretations not only of style, but also mechanics, starting with a different calibration of the suspensions, transmission and cooling system.
A full-throttle Bludger
Like the other Bugatti brand hypercars, the Bolide was also designed with speed in mind. The central heart is a 8.0-litre 16-cylinder capable of unleashing 1850 HP. The reduced weight of just 1240 kg will allow you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.17 seconds, while reaching 400 km/h will take less than 25 seconds. It will be the most extreme model ever made by the Alsatian House, also produced in the traditional way, making extensive use of carbon fiber and titanium. The estimated maximum speed is 500 km/h.
The Bugatti Bolide will fit Michelin tyres on 18-inch rims, while the braking system has been specially designed to withstand the strong stresses typical of track cars, with full carbon discs with a diameter of 390 mm. The president of Bugatti Automobiles, Christophe Piochonannounced that it is in the final phase of testing and will represent a milestone in the history of the brand: “Never before has such a powerful engine been combined with an ultra-lightweight design to create a track car capable of motorsport levels of performance“. It will be delivered to the first of the 40 lucky ones in early 2024.
