Dani Pedrosa back in the race, how will he behave? However, emotions are already skyrocketing, both for KTM and in MotoGP.
In a few days the World Cup MotoGP will set course for the circuit of Jerez. An appointment always very heartfelt in the calendar, especially for the Spanish boys, always with an extra gear in the home appointment. A rider loved by the public, not only in Spain, will return to the premier class. Dani Pedrosa he is eagerly awaited for his wild card and precisely in Jerez, where he really left his mark between podiums and victories. So much so that it now also has the curve in his name, the well-known curve 6 which became in 2019 Pedrosa curve. The Spanish champion and tester KTM no longer scores a GP since the last wild card in 2021but then he hadn’t really disfigured…
KTM waiting, and more
For a long time, Dani Pedrosa was a particular driver underrated. Despite the miracles on the track: a build that is decidedly too small for a MotoGP bike, yet he showed the green mice to riders of the caliber of Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, to name a few samples. And yes, too Marc Marquez, his box partner until his retirement from racing. Oddly enough, it was just when Pedrosa was hired as a KTM tester that most MotoGP fans became aware of his talent. The Austrian brand soon made interesting steps forward, reaching its first podiums and first victories in MotoGP. The Mattinghofen company itself has repeatedly underlined the importance of Dani Pedrosa in the development work of the RC16. Of course together with Mika Kalliothe first to bring the KTM back into action, and the new entry Jonas Folger, already super substitute despite not racing in MotoGP since 2017! But let’s go back to Pedrosa, who will be back on track next weekend and not just as a tester. MotoGP awaits him, many riders have commented with enthusiasm the announcement from months ago and they can’t wait to see it in action again.
We’re back racing this week so that means it’s time for this man to join the squad. 🔥

And if Pedrosa…
Let’s go back to the Styrian Grand Prix 2021, the last wild card. The race started with a highside without consequences for him. There Red flag in fact it came when Lorenzo Savadori, Aprilia wild card, hit the KTM on the ground, hurting himself badly but above all setting fire to the bikes left on the track. Race stopped, everything to be redone and even Pedrosa manages to appear again on the grid. He admitted it later, he was still shaking for the accident… Yet he finished 10th at the finish line, second only to Binder 4th in comeback. And luckily he hasn’t raced since 2018! What if Pedrosa did it again wonders? Many are waiting for it.
