The SUV category is slowly developing into a gigantic segment of the automotive market involving almost every manufacturer in the industry. In addition to the standard sports utility vehicle, many brands also sell what we would call a coupe-SUV – less practical but (maybe and sometimes) a more stylish version of the existing lift model. Lamborghini is one of the few marques that doesn’t have a product in this more niche segment, but here’s a look at the Urus Coupe.
These three renderings are from our friends at Kolesa.ru and depicts a three-door Urus retaining the overall shape, dimensions and wheelbase of the original vehicle. While we’re not big fans of coupe-SUVs, we have to admit that we like what we see here, especially the vehicle’s side profile. Obviously, converting a five-door into a three-door means that the front door gets significantly longer and the roofline is even more slanted than before. Another change compared to the real-life Urus is a new pair of hidden door handles that come from the Huracan.
In fact, there is already a three-door Urus and it came from Mansory in January this year. Tuning specialists received multiple requests from customers and decided to spend about a year and a half developing the project, which follows much the same recipe as the SUV rendered above. The so-called Venatus Coupe Evo C kept the dimensions and wheelbase unchanged but the B-pillar was moved rear by about 200 millimeters (7.87 inches). The tuner also widened the rear fender and gave the Urus bigger wheels. There’s also a full-body kit with an aggressive spoiler and diffuser.
Last but not least, we would like to remind you that if you want to order the new Urus, you will have to wait until at least the end of 2024. Lamborghini recently announced it will no longer be taking orders for its existing combustion-powered model and customers will have to wait until its plug-in hybrid successor debuts. The same goes for the Huracan sports car, which is now sold out.
