Alpine Runs At Full Production Capacity To Meet Record Sales

Alpine – Renault’s standalone performance brand – has enjoyed a very successful year in terms of sales so far. Strong demand usually means increased production and the brand admits it is currently operating at full capacity to meet demand. This is probably a good thing, especially ahead of the massive expansion Alpine is planning at the end of the decade.

June alone saw 593 registrations for Alpine. These are not impressive numbers but keep in mind that the French company is not a mainstream brand and is offering a very limited range of products for now. This figure also represents an increase of 71 percent compared to June last year and is also the most successful month in Alpine history after beating the previous record of 536 cars from March 2019.

During the first six months of 2023, the company delivered a total of 1,863 cars, an increase of 159 units or 9 percent compared to 2022. Last year, in turn, saw Alpine record sales with a 33 percent increase in sales compared to 2021.

Different special versions of the A110 contributed to the increase in sales with the mixed versions of the A110 GT, A110 S and A110 R accounting for around 77 percent of all shipments in the first half of this year. Alpine is also proud to say it has sold 73 of 200 examples of the A110 San Remo edition in just a few days. The same goes for the A110 R Le Mans, which will only be made in 100 units. Meanwhile, Alpine is working on a major push towards a fully electric line of products by the end of the decade. A recent teaser image hinted at seven electric vehicles, including the A290 coming next year and the larger C-segment GT crossover. An electric replacement for the A110 is planned for launch in 2026.
