Has Ford run out of black tarps or white camouflage wrap? For reasons we don’t fully understand, the automaker seems perfectly content sending its facelifted F-150 2024 pickup truck onto Detroit’s streets. And our spy photographers are more than happy to take photos while they are at it.
We’re pretty sure the gray Ford seen here is an F-150 in Lariat trim. The overall look matches that of the current Lariat trim level, and also, there are clearly visible Lariat badges on the fenders. It sits behind revised headlamps featuring vertical running lights at the corners. The lighting structure inside the lens is also different, and is connected to the new grille style. Everything sits above a new lower fascia that eliminates the corners, featuring rectangular drive lights on either side of new – you guessed it – rectangular bottom vents.

Moving on to the back, we wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t notice something different. The taillights have the same shape as before, but the internal lighting structure is new. Dual exhaust outlets exit the corners through arches formed in the bumper. The tailgate was also slightly revised.
Lariat is now caught on camera, he is joined by the 2024 F-150 Platinum we saw on July 14 and the rugged F-150 Tremor 2024 caught on July 5. Previously, we’ve also seen the 2024 F-150 Raptor R facelift without camouflage, but there are still some mysteries to be unraveled with America’s best-selling truck. We haven’t seen the interior yet, but a quick glance through the side mirrors occasionally reveals the cover above the dashboard. That probably means it’s got something worth hiding, maybe a bigger center touchscreen.
On the outside, the facelift is minor and as such, we suspect there will be no changes to the powertrain. The F-150 is currently available with a V6 and a 5.0-liter V8, the supercharged 5.2-liter V8 of the Raptor R. If anything, some minor changes to power levels could accompany the visual refresh.
When will the new F-150 debut? For all intents and purposes, we’ve made exterior debuts for several trim levels, albeit unofficially. With these sightings coming only in the last few weeks, we’d be surprised if Ford didn’t make an official 2024 F-150 announcement sometime in late August.
