Ford has a new Ranger, and aftermarket specialists have upgraded it. Carlex Design has a new package for the pickup that updates the exterior and changes the cabin without changing the powertrain.
On the outside, the CRX T-Rex package reinforces the look of an already solid truck with an assortment of new parts. At the front, the truck got a new bumper and radiator guard, and Carlex finished both on the Line-X, a rugged, durable material used in a few other items like mirror caps and side steps.

Carlex supplied the Ranger Raptor with a bonnet, styling bars and roof covers for the extra lights, all on the X-Line. The scoop and roof cover are available in carbon. The truck also sports unique T-Rex graphics, painted brake calipers and black 18-inch wheels.
This pack is purely aesthetic inside and out. The cabin of this specimen gets a complete makeover with lots of orange, and this is where Carlex excels. This Poland-based design house specializes in creating bespoke interiors for the automotive and aviation industries.
This is a big transformation emphasized by bright colors. Carlex added a leather covered dashboard and steering wheel, natural leather seats, reshaped leather and Alcantara seats, an Alcantara headliner and painted air vents. The pickup cabin also received a unique decorative element with the name CRX T-Rex.
The Ford Ranger Raptor that US consumers will enjoy debuted earlier this year. The truck will arrive in America with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Ford EcoBoost V6 engine making 405 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Ranger Raptor debuting for Europe is not that strong. It breaks the lid in early 2022, making 288 hp and 362 lb-ft of torque, and Ford will still offer it with the EcoBlue diesel, which makes 210 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque.
The Raptor features a number of off-road upgrades, including optional 17-inch wheels, 33-inch BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain tires, eight drive modes, heavily upgraded suspension and an active valve exhaust system. The Ranger Raptor will start at $56,960 (price includes $1,595 destination charge), and goes on sale this summer.
The Carlex package costs 99,900 euros ($110,782 at today’s exchange rates) and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Carlex has improved several different makes and models over the years, offering packages for cars such as the Ferrari Purosangue, Rolls-Royce Cullinan and many more. The CRX T-Rex isn’t the first Ranger to earn Carlex’s love, with specialists upgrading the previous generation of off-roaders with much wilder kits.
