In new cars the engine failure warning light, is replaced by a message that appears on the machine display. The problems it indicates are three in particular, they are starting, unloading and ignition. As for the ignition, this is one of the most probable failures, then it could also indicate problems with the power supply and finally also problems with the particulate filter, which is mounted on all cars and which inhibits the normal activity of the engine, so it sends it in protection and triggers the warning light.
How to make the engine failure warning light go off
If the vehicle struggles to start, it could be dirty filters or residues in the fuel, especially if refueling has recently been carried out. But here’s the trick that allows you to turn off the engine failure light that flashes on the display in just a few seconds, whatever the cause. It involves disconnecting the car battery and holding the horn pressed for 30 seconds, until the residual electricity runs out and then the lights go out completely.
Then you have to wait a quarter of an hour and then reattach the battery. This clears the error codes, which is why the engine failure warning light goes out. Obviously the problem is not solved in this way, but it should be investigated perhaps by requesting a check by an authorized center. It must be remembered that by disconnecting the battery and pressing the horn for 30 seconds, all the information of the machine, including the memory of the components and of the radio, and therefore of the clock, are deleted.
