Many users do not respect some articles of the Highway Code, fundamental rules that guarantee safety on all roads and highways in Italy.
Some standards are considered trivial by most userswhich underestimate them and which for this reason cause accidents that are sometimes even fatal.
The article that all motorists do not respect is in particular the article number 157 which has to do with the stopping, stopping and parking of vehicles.
The content of article 157 of the highway code, which many users do not respect
Must do a clear distinction to try to understand what the highway code refers to when it speaks of arrest, parking and format. The stop of the vehicle is the interruption of the march for traffic needs. The stop is temporary, it takes place in an area where parking is not allowed, it is allowed for a few seconds or minutes to allow people to get on or off the vehicle.
The stop, on the other hand, is the suspension of the protracted march over time. Then this is associated with the emergency stop or the interruption of travel which can occur practically anywhere on the road, because the vehicle is unusable due to breakdown, but it must be reported. In the event of a stop or parking, the vehicle must in any case be placed near the edge of the roadway in the direction of travel. If there is no sidewalk, space must be left for pedestrians to pass, which must be at least one metre.
Here’s what you risk if you don’t respect the highway code
During the stop vehicles must be left with the engine off, in one-way urban streets, parking is allowed on the left side of the roadway, but there must be sufficient space for the passage of a row of vehicles. When leaving the vehicle, you should first check the road carefully. In fact, the gesture must not constitute a danger or be an obstacle, for other users.
Finally, it is forbidden to keep the engine running while parked to keep the air conditioning system active, otherwise you could be fined because you pollute the environment. Anyone who does not comply with these rules of conduct risks being fined substantially. If the circulation of both vehicles and pedestrians is obstructed with the car parked where it should not be leftor if you leave the doors open, if you keep the engine running even when the vehicle is parked, you risk a fine ranging from €218 to €435.
