Forget the small Smart: here are the first photos of Smart #3
From 2020 there has been an epochal turning point. Indeed, the Smart from that date onwards has decided to sell only fully electric cars. This year was created the Smart #1, first electric model of the new course under the partnership Daimler and Geely. And what will happen in the coming months? Here are all the details on this important news.
Unpublished shots of the new Smart #3 model have begun to circulate on the web. The indiscretion was launched by the Ministry of Transport of China. Really relevant news, confirming how well Smart #3 is to be placed on the market in the coming months on the Asian country’s market.
What emerges is that this Smart has nothing to do with the small cars of the past. The Smart #3 will be a true all-electric SUV Coupé.
In recent months, as anticipated, the first of a series of electric models of the new Smart line was created: the model Smart #1. It had already hinted at the length and the shapes being considerably different than in the past. Model number 3 is very reminiscent of this model which will be marketed at the beginning of 2023, but it will be even larger.
The information on the dimensions that have emerged, in fact, show how the Smart #3 will be 4,400 mm long, 1,800 mm wide and 1,600 mm high. The internal parts of the car should, however, be very similar to those of the other electric model.
Also regarding the motor aspect, the model #3 should be the same as the previous one. There will therefore be a 200 kW (272 HP) electric motor with 343Nm of torque. Also there battery should be the same, settling on the value of 66 kWh of model #1. The autonomy, however, given the larger size, should be less.
We await the official confirmation of Smart on this new model. In this way, we will be able to have more precise information on the technical data of the Smart #3.
