Minor changes are being made for the 2023 Cadillac XT5, which represents the seventh model year of the first generation of the luxury crossover. Cadillac Society We already know that the 2023 XT5 will lose the three exterior paint options previously offered on model year 2022 vehicles.
Cadillac Society sources indicate that the following three paint colors will no longer be available after the 2022 model year is built (relevant paint codes are in brackets):
- Satin Steel Metal (G9K)
- Dark Moon Blue Metallic (GLU)
- Infrared Tintcoat (GSK)

All of these exterior paint colors were previously offered on all trim levels of the 2022 Cadillac XT5. They can also be finished in one of six interior color options, with one exception: The Infrared Tintcoat cannot be paired with Sedona Sauvage in a Jet Black accented interior color combination.
It should be noted that Dark Moon Blue Metallic is considered a premium option on the 2022 Cadillac XT5, and costs an additional $625 to equip it. Meanwhile, the Infrared Tintcoat adds $1,225 to the luxury crossover’s overall price. There is no additional charge for the Satin Steel Metallic paint.
While the XT5 has lost three colors for the 2023 model year, it will also add three new options. They are as follows:
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Luxury Blue Metallic (GTR)
- Argent Silver Metal (GXD)
Radiant Red Tintcoat and Opulent Blue Metallic will be available at an additional cost, while Argent Silver Metallic is free of charge.
The Cadillac XT5 is nearing the end of its first-generation lifecycle and is about to be overhauled. Cadillac Society We already know that the current model will last at least until the 2024 model year, and we’ve heard rumors that the next-gen model may only be available in China.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac XT5 Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels are equipped with a turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY) as standard, which produces 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. These models sported the 350T badge at the liftgate, in keeping with Cadillac’s latest torque-based product naming strategy. Additionally, a naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production designation LGX), rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, is optional on the Premium Luxury trim and standard on the Sport trim. Both engine options use Cadillac’s nine-speed automatic transmission, with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
