Pagani Factory Video Tour Shows Massive Expansion, New Hypercar In Detail

Posted on

In September this year, Pagani launched a new supercar. The Utopia follows a more simplified and minimalist approach compared to the company’s previous products combined with a Mercedes-AMG sourced 6.0-liter V12 with a twin-turbo setup. Pagani will only make 99 copies of this machine, though we don’t know how much each will cost or when deliveries will start. However, we now know a lot more about where the company will assemble those 99 examples of Utopia.

There is a new long episode Harry’s garagea YouTube channel with nearly 600,000 subscribers at the time of writing this article. The first 42 minutes of the clip takes us through the Pagani museum where there are numerous photos and scale models of Horacio Pagani’s early attempts at building vehicles, including a modified Renault Dauphine, a Renault-Pagani race car, and even a Pagani caravan, sadly, a one-off.

There is also an early Zonda development vehicle on display, which has currently covered more than 550,000 kilometers (nearly 342,000 miles). Several other Zondas of different versions are also on display at the museum and the presenter tells the story of how Horacio Pagani moved from Argentina to Italy to start a job at Lamborghini and then started his own business for supercars in the early 1990s. . Several engines sat next to the Zonda prototype.

Midway through the video, there’s a quick tour of the factory where Pagani’s bespoke carbon fiber construction is made. While most of the calculations are clearly made by computers, the company still builds its own cars to achieve perfection. On the next floor of the factory, the autoclave is located and Horacio Pagani’s first and original autoclave is still in operation. This was the autoclave he bought right after quitting Lamborghini, who refused to invest in the autoclave saying it was too expensive and that Ferrari didn’t have one either.

At the end of the video, the host is accompanied by Christopher Pagani – Horacio Pagani’s son and the company’s marketing director. Christopher spoke about the new Utopia and how many solutions were found in this new supercar inspired by customer feedback.
