When you are driving a car or any other means, you certainly have wrong habits, in some cases even harmful and in some ways dangerous, which can endanger your own safety and that of others as well as that of your wallet .
One of the most wrong regards a huge slice of the Italian populationit is a habit that practically all both young and old have.
It should be noted that it is not an incorrect habit only when driving but always in general, at any time of the day because it damages your health and that of those around you.
What is the most dangerous common habit in the car and beyond
We are talking about the habit of smoking. Unfortunately, many are unable to stop smokingthey even do it when they start driving as soon as they notice a traffic jam or a red light.
In these moments they take advantage of those two free minutes to light a cigarette and smoke, simply by rolling down the window when there are other people in the vehicle.
This behavior turns out to be dangerous both for the driver and for the passengers, because it is a real distraction. Instead, in the presence of passengers, cigarettes become a threat to health because secondhand smoke is extremely dangerous.
Since 2003 a law has been in force in Italy, i.e. the anti-smoking lawsigned by Girolamo Sirchia which forbids all those who have the habit of smoking to light a cigarette indoors.
10 years later the law was changed and a ban on smoking was also established in open areas near the school and on hospital pitches. Instead, you can smoke in the car only if the other passengers present agree and therefore give their consent.
What you can’t do and what you risk
But be careful because you cannot smoke in the car, if there are minors or pregnant women inside the vehicle. The risk is to get a fine of 550 euros if you are caught in this situation at the checkpoint.
This prohibition is valid, at least for the moment, only for normal cigarettes, while it is not valid for e-cigarettes that can be turned on both in the car and indoors in any condition and situation.
Obviously, it is not excluded that things may change in the coming months, because some new laws could also come into force ready to change the lives of those who smoke electronic cigarettes rather than tobacco.
