For several months now, fuel in Italy has been on sale at an exaggeratedly high price despite the various cuts in excise duties.
In recent weeks, fuel has once again reached two euros per litre. For this reason many people today prefer to use public transport to get around for any need, whether to go out or to go to work or to travel.
Then there are those who, in order to use their own car, choose to implement illegal tricks from which it is better to keep away because they risk serious consequences.
Here’s what many Italian motorists have been doing since September
Those who are more enterprising go in search of legal tricks to apply, which allow you to save a lot without any risk. In recent days in Ljubljana the price of fuel has been blocked, which is why many Italian citizens have decided to move to refuel across the border.
Starting from 27 September it is much more convenient to travel by car and reach Slovenia to refuel rather than do it in any Italian service station season.
On Google trends among common searches, there is petrol in Slovenia’s supplies. There, for example, you can buy diesel for €1.60, petrol for €1.35, the saving for diesel is 0.15 cents while for petrol it is 0.30.
Those who can undertake long journeys to fill bins that can be used for weeks or months. In this way the saving is there and it is evident.
Despite the bonuses and subsidies that have been made available by the state since the beginning of last year, refueling has become a real nightmare for everyone.
Even students choose to reach schools by public transport to avoid wasting petrol, even though they are aware that our transport, buses, trains and so on are not reliable.
Price hikes and scams, what could happen soon in Italy
The scam approaches the price increase implemented by most of the service stations that try to take advantage of the period to collect much more.
Unlike Italy, the Slovenian government, to deal with a difficult situation, has imposed a drop in fuel prices which to date it could also be useful to the Italian people.
The good news is that substantial changes could also come in Italy in the near future ready to make everything much easierbut for now we just have to wait.
