Ferrari is celebrating its 30th year in China. In three decades, the Italian marque has grown to 21 dealers nationwide, which is a long way since the first Ferrari was ordered in Beijing in 1992. It marked Ferrari’s entry into the People’s Republic and now, the Italian marque is celebrating its 30th year. by producing Rome specifically for China.
The one-of-a-kind Ferrari Roma was designed by Tailor Made, the automaker’s customization and personalization program. It was created in collaboration with renowned Chinese designer Jiang Qiong’er, taking inspiration from traditional Chinese aesthetics and craftsmanship.

Qiong’er is known for his work rooted in Chinese refinement, beauty, and cultural heritage. He blends concept and craftsmanship to achieve a synthesis of Italian and Chinoiserie Chic design philosophies.

The unique Ferrari Roma features eye-catching contrasting colors: Sanusilver Matte and Rosso Magma Glossy. The latter pays homage to the traditional Chinese carmine color. Meanwhile, the lines that run along the body and through the interior are inspired by the hallmarks of classic Ming Dynasty furniture.
The special edition Roma also features a carbon fiber sill with the Tailor Made dedication, a key case painted with red and gold mottled Boluo lacquer (an ancient Chinese technique known for its unique textural finish), and a gold dedication plate engraved with the Chinese jade character for “30 .”
In ancient Chinese culture, gold symbolized wealth and good luck, while jade symbolized purity and gentleness. Both are synonymous with good will and respect.
The Roma comes with a lifestyle package designed by Qiong’er herself, which contains the following: a set of four aroma diffusers (one for each season, made with ebony and crystal), a tea set painted with red polka dots and gold Boluo lacquer, ebony cigar boxes, inkstone cigar ashtrays, a tea set made by handcrafted woven bamboo, Xuan paper kites, cashmere blankets, and a Chinese plaid set made of agate and leather. These items are stored discreetly in the car – in drawers, armrests and trunk.
