At the end of December last year, Radical launched the SR3 XXR as a tougher and tougher version of one of its most popular products. Now, the British company has also upgraded the SR10 specification to the XXR by adding aerodynamics and other upgrades to this more powerful racing car.
The single-seater now features a new front grille, which will improve aerodynamics at high speeds and have a positive effect on handling and cooling, according to Radical. Another novelty comes in the shape of the LMP-inspired center fin, also seen on the SR3 XXR. New lightweight alloy wheels and new front DRLs complete the upgrades that come as standard equipment for this optimized version of the SR10. Optionally, customers can have a new carbon splitter and diffuser package, which provides additional weight reduction.

Powering the SR10 XXR is a turbocharged 2.3-liter engine with a peak power of 425 horsepower (312 kilowatts). As a reminder, the SR3 XXR has a self-developed 1.5-liter engine with 232 hp (171 kW). For new race cars, Radical promises lower operating costs and longer engine life.
For those who already own the SR10, we have some more good news. Radikal says you’ll be able to upgrade your existing vehicle to the XXR class in the form of the new XXR Evolution Pack. The kit will include aerodynamic optimizations, new wheels and optimized cooling as standard. Just like the new SR10 XXR, this package includes optionally available carbon fiber bits for the exterior.
The SR10 was originally introduced in 2020 and since then, the company has sold over 100 prototype-style race cars. The United States is the company’s biggest market with up to 70 percent of the SR10s produced so far shipped to customers in that country. The Radical will have a new XXR trim in production this spring with first deliveries expected later this year. The automaker currently has more than 30 dealers in more than 20 countries around the world.
