Gran Turismo November 7th Update Adds Road Atlanta, Three New Cars

It Gran Turismo 7 The upgrade is coming on November 24, 2022, including not only the usual new cars but additional tracks as well. Players can pretend they’re racing at Petit Le Mans by licking the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Located in Braselton, Georgia, Road Atlanta measures 2.54 miles (4.088 kilometers). It has 12 corners and an elevation change of 124.7 feet (38 meters). The longest straight section is 0.7922 miles (1,275 meters) long.

There are also three new cars to drive, and they come from three different automotive decades.

The 2018 BMW M2 Competition is the latest addition to this group. This model is a generation ahead of the current model. It has a 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine that produces 405 horsepower (302 kilowatts) and 406 pound-feet (551 Newton-meters) of torque. According to factory specifications, the coupe with a six-speed manual reaches 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 4.2 seconds. The seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox cuts the time to 4.0 seconds. The electronically limited top speed is 155 mph (249 kph) but can go up to 174 mph (280 kph) with the optional M Driver package.

For comparison, the current M2 also has a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six, but develops 453 hp (333 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. This coupe accelerates to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds with the manual or 3.9 seconds with the eight-speed automatic.

Another new car for Gran Turismo 7 was the 1996 Nissan Silvia K’s Aero. The Silvia received a styling refresh in ’96 which gave the bonnet end a more rounded shape and adjusted the headlights to match the new look. The Model K used a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 217 hp (162 kW) to spin the rear wheels.

Finally, the 1987 Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth joined Gran Turismo 7 in the November update. This model is a hotter version of the already spicy Sierra RS Cosworth. The changes include things like a bigger turbo and intercooler. In road trim, the engine produced 224 hp (167 kW).

This year marks the quarter-century anniversary of the launch of Gran Turismo on the original PlayStation in 1997 in Japan. To commemorate the milestone, the Red Bull X2019 in-game gets a 25th Anniversary Special Edition livery with a purple, blue, red, and white paint scheme.

It’s a minor change, but there are two new places to photograph your car in Scapes Gran Turismo mode. Illuminations are at Shinko Central Square in Yokohama, Japan. It consists of many lights and a geodesic dome framework. Road Atlanta is another new location, so players can pose there as well as race around the course.
