Each of us travels by car every day, some for one reason, some for another, so making mistakes by breaking the rules of the road sometimes knowingly, other times unknowingly is easier than you think.
The rules of the Highway Code they range over many topics, nothing has been decided and arranged by chance. They are all rules aimed at regulating traffic, which therefore seek to make it safe for any user in any situation.
For motorists anyway it’s not easy to keep the rules in mind to be observed and respected, also because there are many of them and they are also constantly updated. There are those who respect them and sometimes make mistakes perhaps due to inattention and those who do not respect them at all by their own choice.
Highway Code, here’s what you risk if you don’t respect the rules
The consequence of all this is that some motorists even think they can travel by car by imposing their own rules that are absolutely not provided for by law. I practice all motorists drive as they please, according to their convenience, making blunders that then cause cash outlays really high that not everyone pays.
For all these reasons, we should be more informed and pay particular attention to how we move and what we do, both for our own safety and that of others, and obviously for economic reasons and so to avoid important fines.
What article 172 of the highway code says
Among the many rules that motorists do not comply the one that has to do with the seat belt comes up. Until a few years ago belts weren’t mandatory, it may seem absurd but that’s exactly how it is. They weren’t present on all cars, then slowly their importance was realized and they were mounted on all vehicles.
Now, in fact, they are mandatory and their use is made compulsory by article 172 of the Highway Code. They have become mandatory since 1989 not only for those who drive the vehicle but also for all passengers on board the vehicles without any distinction.
The only ones entitled to exemption sare pregnant women at risk, the handicapped and the agents on duty. All those who do not fall into the exempt categories, if they are caught by the police at the checkpoint while traveling by car without a seat belt, risk a fine ranging from €81 to €326.
